50/50 Raffle Expansion

As year one is coming to an end we can identify the lodges with the most member raffle sales and support adding a TV monitor in the lodge bar/restaurant locations to make the gaming experience even more engaging, The lodge of the winner receives a 10% cut from the raffle funds when a member of their lodge wins!

We can add screens at our conferences and begin to market the raffle throughout the state by placing Elks5050.org bus wraps, electronic signs, and bumper stickers, to name a few.

10% Overall Lodge Growth

Florida migration remains at a high with 800 families moving to Florida per week.

This brings untapped opportunities throughout the state to propagate new lodges.

Potential sites sit in the newly developed areas in the path of progress.

2026-2030

Goals

Elks Champion Program

A volunteer recognition program, where any and all unpaid, volunteer service hours by Elks and their families can be recorded at the lodge and submitted to the Points of Light/National Corporation for Community Service, Volunteer Florida, and may be used in some grant applications as the in-kind service hours valued as match dollars for some federal and state grant programs ($31.61 per hour, per person). An example of an Elk champion activity can be at a clean up, camp days, events, or as an Elk champion who will call new elk members to invite them to upcoming events, and to say “Hey, I’ll see you there,” and then introduces the new member to another Elk at the event. Florida is ranked in last place for volunteering across the nation with less than 20% volunteering reported. The Florida 2030 Blueprint has a goal of doubling that by 2030. Participating in programs with the governor’s office through Volunteer Florida, and National Corporation for Community Service would be great ways to make a big impact in the state volunteer status. This will aide in gaining additional free public exposure, opportunities for grants, positively impacting the Florida State Elks Association, charities, lodges mission and individual members.

“Exhausted Ruler” PIP

A performance improvement plan (PIP) gives the tools that a struggling Exhalted Ruler will need to get back on track. The plan gives district leadership and the Exalted Ruler defined expectations and action items (with due dates) for both district leadership and the Exalted Ruler, while also providing additional clarifications.
